More Antisemitic Flyers Left At Sarasota Homes Overnight: Police

SARASOTA, FL — More antisemitic flyers have been distributed in Sarasota, this time in the city’s Arlington Park neighborhood.

Sarasota police were called to a home on Craft Lane Saturday morning, around 8:45 a.m., according to a police report. The resident told police that antisemitic literature had been distributed throughout the neighborhood.

The flyers were left in Ziplock bags containing rice, which was used to keep them in place, at the foot of several driveways in the area, according to the police report.

The delivery method was consistent with previous reports of antisemitic flyers distributed in Sarasota, Officer Cavallaro wrote in his report. “The antisemitic content was also similarly directed at specific, high-profile individuals.”

The flyer had a headline that read, “Every single aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish.”

In February, Sarasota Police Department responded to complaints of similar flyers distributed in several neighborhoods.

More than 100 small, clear sandwich bags containing rice and antisemitic flyers were also collected from homes in the area of the 1500 block of South Lake Shore Drive in Sarasota, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

One flyer was also titled, "Every single aspect of COVID agenda is Jewish," while others read, "Anti-Semitism is a Human Right" and "Let's Go Brandon."

Another flyer claimed specific Jewish people are working with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pfizer, Vanguard, and other pharmaceutical or COVID-19 related companies, SCSO said.
