More charges issued for man behind series of St. Louis burglaries

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued additional charges to a man who is accused of robbing several different businesses around south St. Louis County in December.

25-year-old Joshua Simmons-Pollard is facing felony charges for six counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of stealing $750 or more, according to the St. Louis County Police Department. He is being held on a $30,000 cash-only bond.

Through an investigation, police tracked his cell phone records, placing him near the businesses that were burglarized between Dec. 4 and Dec. 6 in 2023.

In the early morning of Dec. 4, The Post Sports Bar, Frankie G’s, The Sports Pub, Tap Haus, and Bar Roma were broken into.

Around $2,400 and a safe were taken from The Post Sports Bar. Approximately $400 was stolen from Tap Haus and around $600 plus a register were taken from Bar Roma.

Cafe Telegraph was also burglarized in the early morning of Dec. 6.

Officials say windows were broken to get into the businesses, and surveillance video shows two individuals committing the crimes.

Later on Dec. 15, a search warrant revealed Simmons-Pollard possessed items stolen from a jewelry store, Glitter on Gravois, which he also burglarized on Dec. 6.

A hearing for Simmons-Pollard is being held Thursday morning.
