More clouds to start the weekend; becoming warm next week as we stay dry

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Heading into the weekend, we are still watching a weak wedge front across the two-state region. It will usher in more cloud cover for the start of the weekend while temperatures remain in the low 80s.

Front eventually washes out letting the clouds slowly exit for the second half of the weekend. More sun by Sunday afternoon while temperatures remain in the low 80s.

Week ahead high pressure becomes strong helping to keep the forecast dry. High temperatures will reach the mid 80s by Monday afternoon. Temperature readings continue to climb into the mid to upper 80s by the midweek. Sky conditions remain mostly sunny as high pressure remains strong.

Rain chances next week remain very low; however, not total zero. A brush with a few showers and storms are possible across north Alabama and north Georgia.

By the end of the week, temperatures are pushing 90 degrees by Thursday. Relief is on the way with a front Friday. Only a few showers and storms are possible with it as it moves into the region.
