More controlled burns for Barksdale Air Force Base this week

Barksdale Air Force Base announced Monday morning that control burns will continue on Jan. 31.

The 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron will be burning a total of 123 acres to reduce the risk of wildfire. Barksdale said removing this underbrush can prevent potential wildfires that could spread quickly.

The burn will be conducted Monday morning at 10 a.m.
