Here are more than a dozen Milwaukee-area places to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will not only be celebrated at Qatar's Al Bayt Stadium, but over 7,000 miles away — right here in the Milwaukee area.

It all kicks off Sunday, when the host nation takes on Ecuador at 10 a.m. CT.

Reigning champion France will attempt to do something only Italy and Brazil have done before — win back-to-back FIFA men's World Cup trophies, according to a USA Today report.

From watch parties to block parties, here are over 13 places to catch games.

Nomad World Pub - Milwaukee

"Come see why we've been Milwaukee's place to watch since 1995!" Nomad World Pub's Facebook event page said.

The pub is hosting a month-long celebration. It will be showing every match (except for those starting at 4 a.m.) with sound, according to its Facebook posts. And there will be specials on products and entertainment.

There's a $25 table booking fee for most matches (that includes a $23.75 gift card). USA matches on Nov. 21 and 29 have a $50 table booking fee (that includes a $47.50 gift card). Each match needs to be booked separately. Bookings can be made at exploretock.com/nomad-worldpub-milwaukee. Black Friday is first come, first served.

Everyone who visits Nomad, Nomad Coffee Bar or SportClub for the World Cup will get entered in a daily $500 travel voucher giveaway to go see their favorite soccer clubs "anywhere in the world!" a post on the pub's Facebook page said. The voucher is good until the end of 2024.

SportClub - Milwaukee

Speaking of SportClub ... Nomad's sister venue will also be playing all matches with sound. And the sports bar will open up with its brunch menu every match day, according to a post on its Facebook page.

Moran's Pub - South Milwaukee

Moran's Pub will be showing games (with volume) on multiple big screens, according to a news release. Mexico games will be broadcast in Spanish. Games that will not be shown are 4 a.m. matches and the Thanksgiving 7 a.m. match.

Moran's will be "the only footie pub in Wisconsin" offering the Chicago Fire's official beer, Hazy Pitch from Revolution Brewing, according to a Facebook post from the pub. A variety of international, craft and domestic beers will also be available.

The pub will offer drink specials and raffles, and a limited amount of special Moran's World Cup merch will be for sale, a news release said.

Depending on the time of day, people can purchase food from nearby businesses, such as Bucyrus Club and Event Center and Atwood Hwy BBQ Company.

Outdoor viewing party with big screen at Drexel Town Square - Oak Creek

Moran's and Oak Creek have partnered to put on an outdoor viewing party with a big screen at Drexel Town Square, according to the event's Facebook page.

The party, which kicks off at 9 a.m., features two games: Netherlands-Ecuador at 10 a.m. and the United States-England at 1 p.m.

There will be food trucks, craft beverages served by Moran's, and music.

The party will continue at Moran's with drink specials, live music and more, the event page said.

Highbury - Bay View

Highbury will be open for all matches, even the 4 a.m. ones. Booze will start being served at 6 a.m.

The pub is featuring beers from the countries playing.

The Bavarian Bierhaus - Glendale

The Bavarian Bierhaus will be hosting World Cup watch parties for the following games:

  • Nov. 20: Qatar vs. Ecuador at 10 a.m.

  • Nov. 21: Senegal vs. Netherlands at 10 a.m. and USA vs. Wales at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 22: Mexico vs. Poland at 10 a.m. and France vs. Australia at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 23: Germany vs. Japan at 7 a.m.; Spain vs. Costa Rica at 10 a.m.; and Belgium vs. Canada at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 25: Netherlands vs. Ecuador at 10 a.m. and England vs. USA at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 26: France vs. Denmark at 10 a.m. and Argentina vs. Mexico at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 27: Croatia vs. Canada at 10 a.m. and Spain vs. Germany at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 28: Brazil vs. Switzerland at 10 a.m. and Portugal vs. Uruguay at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 29: USA vs. Iran at 1 p.m. and Wales vs. England at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 30: Poland vs. Argentina at 1 p.m. and Saudi Arabia vs. Mexico at 1 p.m.

  • Dec. 1: Japan vs. Spain at 1 p.m. and Costa Rica vs. Germany at 1 p.m.

  • Dec. 2: Serbia vs. Switzerland at 1 p.m. and Cameroon vs. Brazil at 1p.m.

These games will be shown on 15 TVs, including a 165-inch big screen, according to the watch parties' Facebook event page.

There will be raffles, tailgate games, silent auctions, food and drink specials and more.

People who catch five games at The Bavarian Bierhaus could win a VIP party in the King Room for the World Cup final on Dec. 18, the event page said. To be eligible, they need to have the establishment's mobile app and get their World Cup Passport punched.

Three Lions Pub - Shorewood

Three Lions Pub will be showing all matches (except the 4 a.m. ones).

The pub is putting on a Black Friday block party on Nov. 25 for when USMNT takes on the Three Lions (England's symbol is three lions), the event's Facebook page said. There will be a jumbotron to watch the match on, pre-match entertainment, outdoor bars and food. The party runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

That match will also be shown inside. No reservations are being accepted that day.

Another block party will be hosted for the final day of the World Cup, Dec. 18.

Three Lions' sister pub, Red Lion Pub, will also be showing all matches (minus the 4 a.m. ones) on its many TVs.

There will also be a small outdoor overhang with heating for viewing as well.

Old German Beer Hall - Milwaukee

Old German Beer Hall is selling .5 liter HB soccer boots (which include a customer's first fill of HB beer) for $15, according to a Facebook post from the bar.

Patrons who bring their boot in during World Cup matches can get them filled with HB beer for $5.

Jack's American Pub, Pete's Pub and WurstBar - Milwaukee

Patrons who purchase a drink special while any world cup game is on at Jack's American Pub, Pete's Pub or WurstBar will receive one raffle ticket per drink special ordered, according to their Facebook event page.

When a customer purchases a drink special while the bar's team is playing, they get two raffle tickets. Jack's is representing USA, Pete's is representing England and WurstBar is representing Germany.

"Winners will be picked after the final game on December 18th," the event page said. "Winners must be present to win at Pete's Pub after the final game concludes."

First place wins a trip for two to Dublin to the Guinness Factory (a travel voucher with a value of $2,500), the event page said. Second place wins a trip for two to New Glarus with a hotel stay and brewery tour. Third place wins four Bucks tickets in January.

3rd Street Market Hall - Milwaukee

3rd Street Market Hall will be breaking in its new 15-food HD jumbo screen at the kickoff to its World Cup watch parties, a Facebook post from the food hall said. Its first watch party will be for the USA-Wales match at 1 p.m. Nov. 21.

The venue will be showing all matches that begin at 10 a.m. or later, the post said.

The Yard at Bayshore - Glendale

The Yard at Bayshore, an open-air space, plans to show the following World Cup games on its massive screen:

  • Nov. 20: Qatar vs. Ecuador at 10 a.m.

  • Nov. 21: Senegal vs. Netherlands at 10 a.m. and United States vs. Wales at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 22: Mexico vs. Poland at 10 a.m. and France vs. Austria at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 23: Spain vs. Costa Rica at 10 a.m. and Belgium vs. Canada at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 25: Netherlands vs. Equador at 10 a.m. and England vs. United States at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 26: France vs. Denmark 10 a.m. and Argentina vs. Mexico at 1 p.m. (Broadcast schedules subject to change, the website said. The Yard plans to air the Badgers vs. Golden Gophers game this day at a TBD time).

  • Nov. 27: Croatia vs. Canada at 10 a.m. and Spain vs. Germany at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 28: Brazil vs. Switzerland at 10 a.m. and Portugal vs. Uruguay at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 29: Iran vs. United States at 1 p.m.

  • Nov. 30: Poland vs. Argentina at 1 p.m.

The Yard has not yet posted a December game day schedule, so check for updates at thebayshorelife.com/events.

Attendees should bring blankets and lawn chairs, the website said. Food can be purchased from nearby restaurants, such as California Pizza Kitchen, Culver's and Crumbl Cookies.

Carry-in alcohol and animals are prohibited, the website noted.

State Street Pizza Pub - Milwaukee

"Get your FIFA World Cup action here on our 17 big screen TVs," a Facebook post from State Street Pizza Pub said.

The pub will be showing all games that start at 10 a.m. and later. Patrons can expect specials and giveaways.

The pub will be hosting watch parties for the US matches on Nov. 21, 25 and 29, the post said. The games start at 1 p.m., and the pub will open at 10 a.m. The pub will be offering $2 off select apps and taps.

Lowlands Group: Centraal Grand Café & Tappery, Café Benelux, Café Hollander and Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club - Milwaukee area

All of Lowlands Group's establishments "will be open and showing games throughout the tournament, so treat yourself to tasty food and drinks while you cheer," a news release said.

That includes Centraal Grand Café & Tappery, Café Benelux, Café Hollander and Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club.

Patrons can expect World Cup-themed food and drink specials, as well as specials just for Lowlands Rewards loyalty members, a news release said.

The Yellow Card Bloody Mary, which features sriracha and blue cheese-infused vodka, will be available at all Lowlands restaurants for a limited time. Those who purchase a breakfast will receive free coffee.

For every Duvel 6.66 bier ordered, patrons will be entered to win a raffle, a news release said. One grand-prize winner will receive an autographed Kevin De Bruyne jersey and a $100 Lowlands gift card. Second-place winners per every restaurant location will win an exclusive Duvel World Cup bundle and a $50 Lowlands gift card.

Centraal Grand Café will offer bacon biscuit Benedict (during breakfast/brunch only), which features a split jalapeño cheddar biscuit topped with bacon, poached eggs, chorizo butter, hollandaise sauce and green onions. It's served with rosemary breakfast potatoes. The café will also feature a lamb burger with a house beef and lamb blend, cucumber salsa, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. It's served with spicy garlic kettle chips or frites.

Café Benelux will serve up Shorty's omelet (during breakfast/brunch only) that features birria short ribs, caramelized onions, peppers, Havarti cheese and green chili crema. It's served with breakfast potatoes or frites. The café will also have pulled pork sliders that comes with three pulled pork sandwiches that have jalapeño BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, cilantro and pickled carrot on brioche buns.

Café Hollander will offer the beefy Benny (during breakfast/brunch only) that features shredded slow-cooked beef, poached eggs and tomato on a toasted English muffin, and topped with hollandaise and green chili crema. It's served with breakfast potatoes. The crispy chili chicken sandwich consists of fried chicken, red chili sauce, muenster cheese, cucumber salad and poblano buttermilk dressing on a brioche bun. It's served with frites.

Buckatabon will feature the breakky burger with a single smash patty, American cheese, bacon, a fried egg and pesto aioli on a toasted brioche bun. It's served with steak fries.

Lowlands' locations will be open as early as 8 a.m. daily during the World Cup, a news release said. Café Hollander Mequon will open at 9 a.m., and Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club will open at 9:30 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends.
