Polish farmers intensified traffic restrictions across Poland's border with Ukraine on Feb. 20,following an announced plan to completely block all border crossing points (BCPs) on that day.

●       President Zelenskyy vows quick measures in response to Polish border blockade
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conference call and promised quick steps in response to the blockade of the Ukrainian–Polish border, he said on Telegram on Feb. 21.

●       Canada may allocate $22 million to buy Czech artillery ammunition for Ukraine – report
The Canadian government is prepared to finance the transfer of 800,000 artillery rounds to Ukraine from the Czech Republic, CBC News reported on Feb. 21, citing sources in the Canadian Defense Ministry.

●       Tehran sends hundreds of ballistic missiles to Russia
Iran has provided Russia with around 400 powerful surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, Reuters reported on Feb. 21, citing six sources.

●       KIIS poll: Overwhelming majority of Ukrainians still believe war will end with return of all territories
There has been a slight decrease since May 2022 in the number of Ukrainians who believe in the full de-occupation of the country's territories, according to a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) published on Feb. 21.

●       More than 60 Russian soldiers killed after strike on training ground in Donetsk
65 Russian soldiers have been eliminated in the strike on the military training ground in the village of Trudivske, Donetsk Oblast on Feb. 20, according to Russian military blogger Yegor Guzenko.

●       Ukrainians strongly support Zelenskyy, but number that think he should go post-war has increased
The number of Ukrainians who believe that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should limit himself to one presidential term has increased 9% since December, said a KIIS (Kyiv International Institute of Sociology) survey published on Feb. 20.

●       Ukrainian finance chief hails Japan as nation assumes role as Kyiv’s top aid provider in 2024
Japan became the largest donor of financial assistance to Ukraine in 2024, providing $436 million in concessional and grant funding to the state budget, Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko announced on Facebook on Feb. 20 following the visit of a Ukrainian delegation to Tokyo.

●       US lacks maintenance plan for weapons sent to Ukraine – Pentagon inspector
The United States has not prepared a comprehensive maintenance plan for military equipment, including M1 Abrams tanks and Patriot air defense systems, provided to Ukraine, according to the U.S. Department of Defense Inspector General Robert Storch, Bloomberg reported on Feb. 21.

●       Ukrainian pilots to complete F-16 fighter jet training in the U.S. by summer 2024
The first four Ukrainian pilots will complete their F-16 fighter jet training program by summer 2024, CNN reported on Feb. 20, citing the Arizona National Guard.
