Evacuation orders were expanded by officials on July 10 as California’s Beckwourth Complex Fire grew to over 55,000 acres.
The complex is made up of the Sugar and Dotta fires, which merged as they burned near the border with Nevada. As of July 10, the fire complex had grown to 55,091 acres, and was eight percent contained, according to officials.
