More Hyundai and Kia cars recalled due to fire risk
Hyundai and Kia have recalled more than 570,000 vehicles because of a fire risk.

In a release from the National Highway Safety Traffic Association (NHSTA) Office of Public Affairs, affected vehicles included the 2022-2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz, 2019-2023 Santa Fe, 2021-2023 Santa Fe Hybrid, 2022-2023 Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid, and the 2022-2023 Kia Carnival.

Kia, Hyundai reimbursing drivers of certain models that caught fire
Both companies are encouraging owners of these models to park outside and away from buildings, even if their car is off, until their vehicle is repaired.
Any type of electrical short could cause a fire; owners can also contact their local Hyundai or Kia dealership to schedule a free repair.
