More laughs coming to Canton: Comedian, actor Bill Burr performing at Hall of Fame Village

CANTON − Comedian and actor Bill Burr will be performing on Oct. 7 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

This marks the third star comedian booked by the Hall of Fame Village, an entertainment campus built around the Pro Football Hall of Fame featuring a restaurant, craft brewery, rides and other attractions with future plans for an indoor football-themed water park and hotel.

Previous shows featured Dave Chappelle last summer and Kevin Hart last month. Both performances were well attended.

Tickets for Burr will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.hofvillage.com.

“This event further enhances our commitment to providing rich and varied entertainment programming to our campus," Anne Graffice, a marketing executive for the Hall of Fame Village, said in a prepared statement. "We look forward to guests from all around joining us ... for a memorable evening filled with a lot of laughter and fun."

An Emmy and Grammy nominated comedian, Burr is also an actor with roles in the former popular television series "Breaking Bad" and "The Mandalorian," a current "Star Wars" spin-off show on the Disney+ streaming service.

Burr also hosts "Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast."

He also will voice a character in Adam Sandler’s animated Netflix film, "Leo," premiering Nov. 22, the Village said in the announcement. Burr also stars in the 2023 film "Old Dads," which he co-wrote and is directing.

Burr was nominated for a 2020 Grammy Award for his comedy album, "Bill Burr: Paper Tiger," and he was nominated for a 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor In A Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series for his Roku Channel series, "Bill Burr Presents Immoral Compass."

He was the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park in Boston last summer.

Burr is touring with shows this month in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey and California. Prior to his Canton performance, he'll be on stage in Syracuse, New York, on Oct. 3. A day after the Hall of Fame Village appearance, he is scheduled for a standup show in Milwaukee.
