Actress Morgan Fairchild frequently got her man on 1980s prime-time soap operas like “Falcon Crest” and “Flamingo Road.”

Fairchild is in Kansas City starring in “Always a Bridesmaid,” which opened last week at the New Theatre Restaurant, and on Saturday night she mentioned a guy she’d like to meet.

This particular appeal received a huge round of applause from the audience of Chiefs fans.

“If anyone knows Patrick Mahomes,” Fairchild told the crowd, “tell him I’m available for lunch.”

There’s likely nothing salacious about this request. Unlike some of those television vixens Fairchild once played to much acclaim, she’s apparently a fan of the Chiefs quarterback.

Fairchild shared a photo on X (née Twitter) ahead of the season opener in which the cast of “Always a Bridesmaid” wore Chiefs jerseys.

And this is from last year when the cast of a New Theatre show celebrated Red Friday.

Bottom line: we can add Fairchild to the list of celebrity Chiefs fans.

That shouldn’t be a surprise because Mahomes is an electric player. And Fairchild also has a meaningful tie to Kansas City.

Ahead of her performance of “Murder Among Friends” in 2014, Fairchild told The Star about being hired by Dennis Hennessy and Richard Carrothers in 1972.

Fairchild was 22 at the time and a relative unknown when she was cast in “Last of the Red Hot Lovers” for a dinner-theater performance in Kansas City. The show starred Barney Martin, who would later gain fame as Jerry Seinfeld’s dad on “Seinfeld.”

“I have such fond memories of Kansas City,” Fairchild said in 2014. “It was the first time I saw peonies. I always remember how kind and sweet Richard and Dennis were. So I was thrilled to get back and work with them.”

Fairchild also had a fun interaction with Rusty Kuntz, when he was a Royals coach in 2017. She surprised him at Kauffman Stadium.

During an interview with The Star’s Dan Kelly earlier this year, Fairchild mentioned some of her favorite things about Kansas City.

“I was always so impressed with all the beautiful fountains and how beautiful Kansas City actually is,” she said. “… Kansas City has a great history, and it’s a beautiful city, and it’s so full of wonderful people.”
