Morgan Wallen bringing tour to Austin's Moody Center in 2023

Morgan Wallen is bringing his arena show to Austin.
The country singer announced on Thursday that the One Night At a Time World Tour will stop by the Moody Center on May 24. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman will open the show.
Tickets go on sale at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9 via morganwallen.com and moodycenteratx.com. Prospective ticket-buyers can register now for Ticketmaster Verified Fan for the show.

According to a news release, $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation, "which funds causes close to his heart," with past beneficiaries including Greater Good Music, Children Are People, Salvation Army and National Museum of African American Music.
The Tennessee native has gone multiplatinum for albums like "Dangerous: The Double Album" and "If I Know Me." "Dangerous" became Billboard's longest-running top-10 album in history for a solo artist, according to the news release, topping Adele’s "21" and Bruce Springsteen’s "Born In The USA."

Wallen is both popular and controversial. In February 2021, a video surfaced on TMZ of Wallen using a racial slur. Though blowback from some corners of the music industry was swift, the video did not slow down Wallen's momentum, according to a USA Today report. In fact, his album sales and streams reportedly spiked amid the scandal. Wallen apologized and pledged to donate $500,000 to the Black Music Action Coalition and other Black-serving organizations.
