The North American leg of country star Morgan Wallen's One Night at a Time World Tour will start in Milwaukee.

Wallen will play American Family Field on April 15 — likely the earliest date for a stadium concert ever in Milwaukee. (Thanks, again, to that retractable roof.) Kenny Chesney played what was then Miller Park on April 28, 2018.

Wallen's tour starts in Auckland, New Zealand, a month earlier, on March 15.

Hardy, Ernest and Bailey Zimmerman are on the bill for Wallen's Milwaukee date. Wallen's tour also includes a stop at Wrigley Field in Chicago on June 23.

Wallen's album "Dangerous: The Double Album" was at No. 1 for three weeks on the Billboard 200 in early 2021 when video circulated of him saying a racial slur. There was significant fallout — including his booking agency cutting ties, country radio stations temporarily pulling his songs, and the ACM Awards deeming him ineligible that year. He also canceled multiple concert dates, including a Country Thunder performance in Wisconsin scheduled for that summer.

Wallen apologized, and according to USA TODAY reporting, fulfilled a pledge to donate $500,000 to Black-serving organizations. Meanwhile, "Dangerous" continued to do big numbers, setting the record earlier this fall as the longest-running album for a solo artist, in any genre, in Billboard magazine's Top 10.

His shows, too, have become big business. In addition to headlining Country Thunder in Wisconsin this summer, Wallen played at a sold-out Resch Center in April — the highest grossing concert in the Green Bay arena's 20-year history.

Tickets will be available starting at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 on morganwallen.com and through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster's verified presale registration is open through noon Dec. 4, with presales available for registrants from 2 p.m. Dec. 7 to 10 p.m. Dec. 8. VIP packages, platinum seats and aisle seat offers go on sale at 2 p.m. Dec. 7. Ticket prices weren't immediately available, but according to the Brewers, there will be an 8-ticket limit per transaction.

Coming out of the pandemic, which sidelined live concerts for most of 2020 and half of 2021, American Family Field hosted three tours in 2022, the most in a single year in the stadium's history since opening as Miller Park in 2001.

That record is already tied for 2023. In addition to Wallen, country legend George Strait is playing his first Milwaukee show in 14 years on June 3, one of just six stadium dates next summer with Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.

And Pink is bringing her Summer Carnival stadium tour to American Family Field Aug. 14. Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Grouplove and Pink's touring DJ, Milwaukee native DJ KidCutUp are on the bill.
