Suspect at large after Morganton Little Caesars worker hurt in robbery attempt
A worker at a Little Caesars in Morganton has been hospitalized after an attempted robbery while he was opening the business Tuesday morning. Investigators are searching for the suspect in the case.

Public safety officers said that worker was assaulted in the parking lot by two men shortly before 8:30 a.m. The restaurant is on West Fleming Drive in Morganton.
Workers said the suspects arrived in a car and tried to rob the employee, who fought back. Authorities said the suspects used a gun in the process.
In a news release, investigators said the employee was beaten and bleeding from the head when officers arrived. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators said they have identified James Andre Mcelreath as a suspect. They obtained arrest warrants for attempted armed robbery, kidnapping, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Police are asking for help finding Mcelreath and said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
