Morristown COVID-19 Update: Hospital Numbers, Low Vaccine Doses

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Here are the latest coronavirus updates around Morristown.

Cases and Vaccinations

Morristown officials reported 20 new cases Wednesday, pushing the town to 1,594 cases since the pandemic began.

The Morris School District reported the following on its COVID-19 dashboard as of Wednesday:

The New Jersey Department of Health has reported the following totals in Morris County as of Thursday morning:

  • 228 new cases

  • 26,724 total confirmed cases

  • 4,276 total probable cases

  • 840 confirmed deaths

  • 207 probable deaths

The state health department has logged 49,893 vaccine doses administered in Morris County as of Thursday morning — an increase of 20,432 since Morristown Patch's last update Jan. 20. Morris County has an estimated population of 491,845, and the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each require two doses per person.
