Morristown waives parking fees in three garages ahead of winter storm

Morristown residents will be permitted to park for free in any of three garages due to the impending winter storm, the mayor's office announced on Monday.

The Morristown Parking Authority is allowing residents to park in the Dalton, Dehart Street and Ann/Bank Parking garages from 6 p.m. Monday through noon Tuesday to help with snow removal on the streets. The town is expected to see approximately five inches of snow from a winter storm beginning Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

When leaving the garage, drivers must present their parking ticket and show a driver's license as proof of Morristown residency to have the parking fee waived. Vehicles moved after noon Tuesday that are owned by a non-Morristown resident may be subject to fees.

The date and time of vehicle removal is subject to change. Residents are urged to visit www.townofmorristown.org for updates.
