Mosby defense dealt major blows in pretrial hearing

The federal judge in the Marilyn Mosby case on Tuesday addressed pretrial motions about public comments and the defense's request for a change of venue. The indicted former Baltimore City state's attorney appeared in federal court for a motions hearing leading up to her trial in March. U.S. District Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby denied a motion made by the defense for a change of venue without prejudice. Mosby's attorneys sought to have the case moved to federal court in Greenbelt, saying it would be easier to find an unbiased jury because that jury pool would be less interested in the case than one in the Baltimore region.
