Russian forces occupying Crimea are reportedly planning to loot the Tauric Chersonesus Museum, Ukraine’s National Resistance Center (NRC) said in a message on its website on July 5.

The NRC pointed out that the occupation “administration” is preparing transfer documents ostensibly for restoration purposes, with an aim to display about 300,000 artifacts from the museum's collection outside the museum.

The specific recipient of the collection remains uncertain at this time, but it has been confirmed that the transfer will take the artifacts outside of Crimea.

The NRC further highlighted that as of late 2014, the collections contained approximately 500,000 items overall. Out of these, 300,000 items make up the primary collection.

Therefore, the report concludes that Moscow is effectively preparing paperwork to loot the majority of the museum's artifacts.
