Here are some of the most expensive homes sold in Vanderburgh County recently

EVANSVILLE – Vanderburgh County's most-expensive home sales in May included several properties close to West Side, East Side and near McCutchanville.

A total of 338 homes were sold in May, an increase from the previous month's 310. The biggest sale came in at $1,7 million, an increase from April's top seller, which brought in $800,000.

Here's a look at the five most-expensive home sales, according to the Vanderburgh County Assessor's Office:

1620 Talon Place, $1.7 million

This Vanderburgh County home sits on almost three acres of land and features about 11,000 square feet of space.

The main level features high ceilings, an elevator connecting each level of the home and an audio system. It also has a gourmet kitchen with upgrades and a walk-in pantry, a 12-seat theatre room with a 10-foot projection screen, a 1,000-square-foot master suite with a bathroom with a soaking tub, double vanities, a walk-in shower and walk-in closet, and two more bedrooms with ensuite baths.

A lower-level open-concept family room has a billiards nook, game area, kitchen, and curved bar.

The second level features two bedrooms with an ensuite bath, as well as kitchenette, an art studio, an office, a playroom and balcony access.

There's a wellness area with a six-person spa, sauna, massage room, bath and home gym.

5646 Scenic Ridge Drive, $1.2 million

This West Side four-bedroom home sits on a 2.87-acre lot with a view of the lake.
