Many travel companies are working to adopt more sustainable solutions. Almost all of these new ships run on sustainable fuels, hydrogen, or electric batteries.

Norwegian - Viva
Looking for an option ideal for the whole family? Norwegian’s 3,219-guest Viva ship features a three-level go-kart track where you can enjoy a fun race with your loved ones. More laid-back options include taking a leisurely stroll around Viva’s 360-degree Ocean Boulevard. Set sail from Rome on August 26 for a nine-night cruise exploring Italy, Greece, and Croatia. At $2,955 per person, it is the most affordable option on this list.
Silversea - Silver Nova
Silversea is launching its all-inclusive Silver Nova ship, whose dual-fuel engines emit zero local emissions. Able to accommodate 728 guests, each person on board has access to 24-hour butler service. Other perks include free Wi-Fi and a free tour at each port. Its maiden voyage sets sail from Venice on August 14. It will be a seven-night round trip that takes in all the glory of the Dalmatian Coast and will cost $4,368 per person or $6,813 per person with door-to-door chauffeur service, flights, and transfers.
Regent Seven Seas - Grandeur
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is debuting its Grandeur ship, which, true to its name, is one of the most opulent cruise ships ever. It will feature a multi-million-dollar art collection that includes a one-of-a-kind Fabergé Egg. Sarah Fabergé, the great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, who created the magnificent jeweled Easter eggs, will even be hosting a special sailing in 2024. More details on this event will soon be announced. The Grandeur will depart Miami on December 14 for a seven-night Caribbean cruise costing $5,900 per person.
Viking - Saturn
Viking’s new Saturn ship joins eight identical 930-guest sister ships. Cruisers can expect Viking’s signature offerings like the Nordic wellness spa and classic winter tea garden. A 29-day Nordic cruise visiting Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and more is leaving Bergen, Norway setting sail for New York on May 23. The cost starts at $12,763 per person.
Seabourn - Pursuit
Seabourn’s Pursuit embarks on its first voyage from the Caribbean Island of Barbados. This amazon adventure takes passengers on an incredible journey along the Guajara River, a tributary of the Amazon. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the local Caboclos people who work on riverside buffalo farms. This 14-day Guianas To The Amazon Basin expedition leaves Barbados on October 10, and pricing starts at $9,800 per person.
Explora Journeys - Explora I
This summer, MSC Cruises is launching its new luxury brand, Explora Journeys. It will be unveiling six ships, the first of which will be the LNG-powered Explora I. In partnership with Steinway & Sons, the cruise will include performances by well-known pianists as well as up-and-coming musicians. Music heads can book a spot on Explora I’s 15-night Maiden Journey into Epic Fjords. It departs Southampton on July 17 and will be bound for Copenhagen. This cruise will set you back at least $11,072 per person.
Oceania Cruises - Vista
Oceania Cruises is launching its first new cruise ship in 10 years. The Vista can accommodate up to 1,200 passengers. Travelers sailing alone can book one of the ship’s staterooms created specifically for solo travelers that come with a private veranda, unlimited spa access, and free laundry service. A 12-day Caribbean round-trip cruise leaves Miami on November 19 with a price tag of $4,549+ per person.
