The ‘most famous estate’ in Vegas, Wayne Newton’s former ranch, lists for $25 million
Its name is Casa de Shenandoah, and it was the former massive estate of Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton.
The 39-acre ranch is on the Nevada real estate market for $24.99 million, the listing on Zillow.com says.
And what a ranch it is.
According to the listing, the ginormous property, which has features coveted by the very rich, is considered “the most famous estate in Las Vegas.” This is the second time in two years that the vast estate has stolen the real estate spotlight in Sin City. It was originally listed in 2020 for $29 million, according to KTNV.
Due to legal issues, the estate that the “Danke Schoen” singer had formed bit by bit was put up for sale in 2013 and then again in 2014 before it opened to the public as an attraction of sorts, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
Along with the seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 57,056-square-foot main mansion (which appears to still have that famous Newton “N” embedded in the marble floor), the property is basically an amusement park of high-end features including:
Seven other homes
100-plus car museum
Arabian horse-breeding stables
Horse hospital
Airport terminal
Gaming room
Green room
Environmental zoo for exotic animals
The ranch caught the attention of Zillow Gone Wild on Twitter, and people had a lot to say about its extravagance.
“An airport terminal at your house? That’s a new one,” someone tweeted.
“Wayne Neutron is the MAN,” another person said.
“Wayne Newton has incredible aesthetic taste,” one person gushed.
“I would have been interested, had it been 60k sq ft. 57k, is beneath me, and I will not settle for less,” another joked.
Newton launched to fame with the help of singer Bobby Darin in the 1960s and began performing in Las Vegas along with starring on many TV variety shows in the 1970s, Biography.com said.
