Customize Your Reading

With the Journal Sentinel app, you can:

Save a story to read later by tapping the bookmark icon, which appears near the headline on article pages and on section pages. Stories you save will appear on the app's Saved page.

Adjust the text size on individual stories by tapping the "Aa" button at the top of the story, then using the slider to adjust.

Read with Night Mode (a dark background and bright text) by adjusting your settings (found by tapping the gear icon at top of the Top Stories, Popular and Sections pages).

Read even when you're offline by tapping Offline Reading on the settings page, then tapping "update all sections." This will download content to your app so you can read when cell service is spotty or your phone is in Airplane Mode.

Get News Alerts

Get notified about breaking news, traffic alerts, sports scores, weather and more in real time through the app.

Visit the app’s settings to choose which notifications to receive. You can also schedule "quiet time" — hours of the day that we won't send you alerts.

Want alerts about specific topics or people? Tap the "Add Topic +" button at the top of any story to be alerted every time we publish a story on that topic.
