Most-popular gaming console in SC is different than the tops in the U.S., Google data shows

The PlayStation 5 was found to be the most popular gaming console in South Carolina, according to a recent study.

The research was gathered by Japan-101, an online casino guide, that analyzed Google Search data to find which gaming consoles were the most popular in each state nationwide over the past 12 months.

As for the country as a whole, the study found that the Nintendo Switch was the most popular gaming console overall by being the most searched in 19 states. Out of these states, it was the most searched in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

Although the original edition of this gaming console was released back in the spring of 2017, the Nintendo Switch has maintained its popularity throughout the years.

The second most popular gaming console in the country is the PlayStation 5, which was the console that South Carolina residents were found to have searched for the most throughout the past year. However, California, Florida, and New York were the states that researched the consoles the most. This console was released in 2020 and seemingly continued to maintain its successful launch.

In third place overall, the Xbox Series X was found to be the most popular gaming console in 13 states nationwide and most popular in Indiana, Missouri, and Kentucky. This console was also released late in 2020 and continued to follow behind the PlayStation 5 as one of the most popular gaming consoles in the country.
