The Kroger Queen City Championship presented by Procter & Gamble is just over two weeks away from it's inauguration at Kenwood Country Club and Cincinnati is set to host 15 of the top 20 LPGA Tour players between Sept. 8-11, tournament directors Emily Norell and Kevin Hopkins announced in a media event Monday.

Lydia Ko will be featured at the Queen City Championship at Kenwood Country Club Sept. 8-11.

"It's been a long time in the planning process to get this off the ground, but we're so excited for everybody to see this come to life in two weeks," Hopkins said.

Some key names include: Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee and Brooke Henderson, all two time Major champions; Jessica Korda, Jennifer Kupcho, Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer and Lexi Thompson, all former Solheim Cup competitors; Danielle Kang, the 2017 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, a Tour Major, champion; and Ashleigh Buhai, the 2022 AIG Women's Open champion.

The Kroger and P&G representatives unveiled the trophy the women will be competing for. It was designed by Fred Meyer Jewelers. The silver structure is tall and twisted to pay homage the motion of a golfer's swing, with seven peaks on top forming a crown for the Queen City and seven hills of Cincinnati.

The women also will be competing for a purse of $1.75 million.

Annika Sorenstam will also be in attendance, though not competing. The LPGA Hall of Famer, who won 72 official LPGA tournaments including 10 Majors and 18 internationally, will be speaking at the Game Changers Women's Leadership Program on Sept. 6. This program will include 130 diverse women who will help accelerate female advancement into roles of executive leadership and entrepreneurship, Norell announced.

Additionally, Sorenstam's new canned cocktail line, Fizzy Bees, will also be sold at the tournament site and participating Kroger locations.
