EVENING: Mostly cloudy, temps near 30.
TONIGHT: Snow develops after midnight, low 30.
FRIDAY: Light snow, 1-3″. Hi 30.
A very quick evening on tap with plenty of clouds and calm conditions with temperatures holding steady near 30 degrees.
Friday’s snow will be very similar to the snow we experienced earlier in the week. A powdery, light snow that will take most of the day to accumulate several inches. Here’s a look at the timeline:
Snow begins between 1-4am leaving a coating of snow for the Friday morning commute. Snow will be light and steady throughout Friday morning. Keep in mind the snow will accumulate on top of the leftover snow and continue to build up the overall snowpack. The brunt of the storm looks to occur during the morning commute through early afternoon with snow tapering by mid-afternoon. Snow amounts will likely range between 1-3″ by Friday evening. There could be isolated spots that see up to 4″. The snow should be done by the evening commute tomorrow.
Saturday will be cold and blustery behind the storm with sub-zero wind chills in the morning. More sunshine will break out by Sunday, although it will remain chilly and breezy. Next week starts seasonable, but a big warm-up will develop as we warm into the 40s by midweek and 50s by the end of next week. Winter’s chill and our blanket of snow is not here for long. S
