Kerri Ramsey, owner of Candles Etc., have been located at 25 Market St. in the heart of downtown Wilmington for over 20 years.
The locally handcrafted shop, using 100% natural sustainable soy wax. The candles are clean, slow burning and soot free.
You'll find a large selection of candles, but some of the popular scents that might suit moms are Carolina Sunsets, Wrightsville Memories, Southern Charm and Mimosas on the Veranda.
And moms can reuse the candle jars to hold toiletries ― makeup brushes, cotton swabs/cotton balls, hair ties/clips; to hold pencils/pens; use it as a dried herbs container; and be eco-friendly and turn the jars into plant pots.

Green Thumb Floral Boutique, a non-traditional freelance florist, offers garden style arrangements. The fresh florals are cut daily, and the varieties change from day to day, unless a customer place a special order.
The shop, located at 1614 Market St. in Wilmington, is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays. The shop may close early on Mother's Day. Customers should pre-order for Mother's Day, because prices usually increase closer to the day.

If you a last-minute shopper, The ArtWorks will hold a Mother's Day Market, where you can browse and shop at over 40 local artists and crafters. The market will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 at 200 Willard St., Wilmington.
There also will be food trucks, beer/wine, live music, Fairy Hair, and more.
Sandalwood Shoppes
Sandalwood Shoppes, a unique store within a store concept with over 40 individual small business retailers/artisans, is located at 485 Olde Waterford Way Suite 100, Leland.
