Lockdown lifted at Motlow State Community College in Smyrna after search for ‘possible armed individual’

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Motlow State Community College campus in Smyrna has reopened after authorities searched for a “possible armed individual” Wednesday afternoon.

The school said on its website that they were helping police make sure their buildings were clear.

A police spokesperson told News 2 the school was placed on lockdown and no shots were fired.

At around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, officials told News 2 the lockdown was lifted.
