STORY: Spaniard Marc Marquez collected his 2019 MotoGP World Champion medal at the FIM Awards ceremony Sunday (November 17) in Valencia.

Just hours after Marquez raced to his 12th win of the 2019 season, he was onstage receiving his medal from International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) president Jorge Viegas.

The 26-year-old cruised to his sixth MotoGP title, finishing with 420 points, well ahead of second placed Italian Andrea Dovizioso's 269 and third placed Spaniard Maverick Vinales' 211.
