Motor vehicle dealership, shopping center in Aiken County sell for seven figures
Jun. 23—Recent seven-figure real estate transactions locally include the sales of a motor vehicle dealership at 490 Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville and a shopping center at 1961 Whiskey Road in Aiken.
J&S Properties of South Carolina LLC purchased Johnson Motor Company of South Carolina from 490 Jefferson Davis Highway LLC for $2.44 million June 6, according to Aiken County land records.
The Buick and GMC dealership is now part of the Gerald Jones Auto Group.
Andy Jones of the Gerald Jones Auto Group told the Aiken Standard in May that he and his family were in the process of acquiring Johnson Motor Company.
The other dealerships operating under the Gerald Jones Auto Group umbrella are Gerald Jones Volkswagen Audi, Gerald Jones Mazda, Gerald Jones Honda, Gerald Jones Volvo Subaru and Gerald Jones Ford Lincoln.
They are located in Georgia in Augusta and Martinez.
The registered agent for J&S Properties of South Carolina is Sean Sweeting, according to the South Carolina Secretary of State's website.
The registered agent for 490 Jefferson Davis Highway LLC is Duncan Johnson Jr.
Andy Jones said in May that the price of the real estate would represent only a portion of the deal's total value.
He declined to reveal the total value.
On May 20, ACA-SC Limited Partnership purchased the shopping center on Whiskey Road for $5.035 million from Greenleaf NNN N007 LLC and RMZ Properties LLC, according to Aiken County land records.
The businesses in the shopping center are Aspen Dental, Mattress Firm and The Vitamin Shoppe.
