Motorcyclist in critical condition after Holland Township crash

HOLLAND TWP. — A motorcyclist was left in critical condition after losing control Monday evening in Holland Township.

Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 136th Avenue and Depot Lane shortly after 5 p.m. in reference to a single-vehicle crash Monday, June 20.

Upon arrival, they learned a 56-year-old Holland Township man was traveling north on 136th Avenue when he lost control of his motorcycle, forcing him to lay the motorcycle down on its side and slide across the road.

The man wasn't wearing a helmet, and was transported by AMR Ambulance to Holland Hospital in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation.
