Motorcyclist dies after crash near Roscoe on U.S. Highway 84
ROSCOE − A Central Texas motorcyclist was injured fatally in a one-vehicle crash Monday east of here, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release.
Just after noon, Garth Adam Johnson, 51, of Nolanville, west of Temple, was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide east on U.S. Highway 84 about 0.7 miles north of town when he lost control of the vehicle at a curve. The motorcycle traveled into the center median and overturned, ejecting the driver, DPS said.
The driver suffered critical injuries and was transported to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, where he died.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
