Motorcyclist dies after Seminole County crash, troopers say

A Casselberry man has died following a crash in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to a news release, a Mazda was traveling southbound on Bird Road, approaching the intersection of East Lake Drive.

A motorcyclist was traveling westbound on East Lake Drive.

The Mazda driver made a left turn and tried to travel on East Lake Drive but entered the direct path of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to strike the Mazda.

Troopers said the Mazda driver and the passenger were not injured and remained at the scene.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital and was pronounced dead.

FHP is still investigating the crash.
