Motorcyclist dies in Wallingford crash

A man died over the weekend when his motorcycle went off the road in Wallingford, police said.

The crash happened about 9 p.m. Sunday on Old Colony Road in the Tracy section of town.

Robert Kelleher, 55, of Wallingford was headed south on a 1989 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he passed Oak Street and traveled over the double yellow lines on a right curve, police said. The motorcycle crossed the lane for opposing traffic and went off the pavement, striking a guardrail.

Kelleher was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
