A man died over the weekend when his motorcycle went off the road in Wallingford, police said.

The crash happened about 9 p.m. Sunday on Old Colony Road in the Tracy section of town.

Robert Kelleher, 55, of Wallingford was headed south on a 1989 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he passed Oak Street and traveled over the double yellow lines on a right curve, police said. The motorcycle crossed the lane for opposing traffic and went off the pavement, striking a guardrail.

Kelleher was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Members of an accident reconstruction team are investigating the crash. Anyone with information that may help them is asked to call Officer Christin Evans at 203-294-2819
