Motorcyclist killed when bike tire went flat in crash on I-90 near Kimball
Sep. 11—KIMBALL, S.D. — One person died in a motorcycle crash Saturday on Interstate 90.
The 69-year-old man has not been identified pending notification of family. The tire on his 2019 Harley Davidson went flat and caused the crash, authorities say.
The driver was traveling west at 5:25 p.m. on Interstate 90 about 2 miles west of Kimball when his motorcycle and trailer started to fishtail and then rolled several times.
He was taken by Kimball ambulance to the Sanford Chamberlain Hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon arriving. The driver was wearing a helmet, authorities said.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
