Motorcyclist killed in crash along Hwy 58 west of Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday afternoon along Highway 58, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported just before 3 p.m. Friday along Highway 58 and Brandt Road, according to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page. The crash reportedly involved a Dodge pickup truck and a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Westbound traffic on Highway 58 was blocked in the area, CHP said.
