Motorcyclist killed after crashing into car in Tacoma
A motorcyclist was killed Sunday after they crashed into a car in Tacoma, the Tacoma Police Department announced.
According to police, at 5:46 p.m., a car heading northbound on Portland Avenue made a left turn from the center turn lane to pull into a business.
A motorcyclist heading southbound crashed into the car. The 31-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital, where he was declared deceased.
Portland Avenue between East 43rd Street and East 44th Street was closed as the TPD Collision Investigation Team investigated, but the roadway has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
At 5:46 pm a car N/B on Portland made a left turn to pull into a business from the center turn lane. A motorcyclist S/B on Portland collided with the vehicle. The 31-yr-old male motorcyclist was transported to a hospital where he was declared deceased. Investigation ongoing.
