Motorcyclist killed in head-on collision in Harford County

May 23—A motorcyclist died Monday evening in a head-on collision with another vehicle in Harford County.

Maryland State Police responded to the intersection of Md. Route 22, also known as East Churchville Road, and Schucks Road in Bel Air shortly after 9 p.m., according to a news release from state police. The driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a Chrysler Pacifica.

The Chrysler was traveling west on Md. Route 22 and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Schucks Road, police said. The motorcycle was traveling east on Md. Route 22 when he crashed head-on into the Chrysler. The road was closed for more than two hours following the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as Jeremy Burris, 37, of New York. The driver of the second vehicle stayed on the scene, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
