Motorcyclist killed in South Daytona crash

A Palm Coast motorcyclist died Wednesday night in a crash on Nova Road in South Daytona, police said.

Terrell D. Gilmore, 34, was killed at 8 p.m. on Nova Road just north of Reed Canal Road, said South Daytona police Lt. Brian Craig.

After the motorcycle crashed and Gilmore was thrown into the roadway, other motorists braked to avoid hitting him. This caused a chain reaction crash involving multiple vehicles but none of them hit or ran over Gilmore, Craig said.
