Motorcyclist killed in Suffolk crash early Saturday

A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday after going off the roadway on Route 58 in Suffolk.

Troy J. Stephens, 33, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, Suffolk spokesman William Franklin wrote in a news release.

Franklin said the biker was heading west in the 4100 block of Holland Road just after 1 a.m. when he went off the road and crashed.

One lane on Holland Road was closed for several hours during the investigation. That section of Route 58 — in the western part of the city — has two lanes in each direction.

Franklin said it’s currently unknown where Stephens resides.
