Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama troopers say

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Crescent Ridge Road in Tuscaloosa County.

Alabama troopers said Darterrius D. Washington was killed around 3:37 p.m. when he fell from his 2009 Suzuki Gladius motorcycle. After the initial crash, the motorcycle continued forward and hit a 2008 Chrysler Sebring, which according to troopers was driven by a 16-year-old motorist.

Washington was pronounced dead at DCH Regional Medical Center.

The crash occurred about a mile east of the Tuscaloosa city limits.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
