Motorist crashes through the front of Pace UPS store, injuring one customer

A Pace woman suffered minor injuries when a driver crashed through the front of a business on Monday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. at The UPS Store at 4960 U.S. Highway 90, the release said.

The driver of a Mini Cooper, a 60-year-old Jay woman, and the driver of a van, a 37-year-old Arkansas woman, reportedly backed into each other in the parking lot outside the business. The 60-year-old then put her vehicle in gear and accelerated forward through the front of the UPS Store.

Surveillance footage from inside the store shows a woman approaching the entrance door just as the Mini Cooper bursts through the front wall, showering the woman with glass and debris.

The woman, identified by the FHP as a 35-year-old from Pace, sustained minor injuries.

Neither of the two drivers were injured.
