Motorola hacks $150 off the Moto X’s price for Cyber Monday

Motorola’s next Moto X phone already has a rumored launch date for Verizon

Motorola really, really wants you to buy a Moto X. Motorola announced on its Google+ page Wednesday that it will knock a full $150 from the off-contract price of the Moto X for one day next week as part of its Cyber Monday deal. The deal includes letting buyers custom-design their own Moto X using the Moto Maker feature, so for $350 you can buy someone a custom-made smartphone with their favorite colors and a personal engraving with no carrier contract obligations. Motorola has been struggling to sell its new flagship device, which reportedly only sold 500,000 units last quarter despite a major marketing push from Google, so don’t be surprised to see more Moto X fire sales in the coming weeks.
