JESSICA KARTALIJA: The Jewish community in Mount Airy is fighting back against racism. Dozens gathered for a rally outside of the Germantown Jewish Centre tonight. That's where someone vandalized a Black Lives Matter sign. The vandal painted the word "Jewish" over the word "Black." It has been repaired. Jewish leaders say that the vandalism was a racist attack.

RABBI MICHELLE GREENFIELD: The point is to acknowledge that our freedoms and our lives and our liberation is all tied up in each other's liberation. And if we're not standing up for the Black folks in our community, our freedom is worth nothing. And our lives are not-- we're not living our lives in the way we should be if we're not able to stand up for our neighbors.

JESSICA KARTALIJA: The community says they will not be divided by the vandal.
