Mount Holly man gets seven-year term for crystal-meth offense

MAYS LANDING – A Mount Holly man found with more than a pound of methamphetamine has received a seven-year prison term, authorities say.

Richard Mallinson, 54, was arrested in March 2021 after an investigation by an Atlantic County task force and officers from three local police departments.

Detectives recovered a large amount of crystal methamphetamine from hotel rooms in Absecon and Atlantic City, as well as from a vehicle, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Mallinson later admitted guilt to possessing an illegal drug with the intent to distribute.

He was sentenced Dec. 5 in Atlantic County Superior Court.
