Guest evangelist will be Pastor Tommie D. Carter, a Mansfield native who now lives in Texas, speaking both nights.

Carter has been in the ministry for more than 15 years. He started a couple of churches, Kingdom Grace in Mansfield and another in New London, Ohio. He is currently a pastor in Texas and an evangelist.

Carter grew up in the Shiloh Baptist Baptist Church, and will be on hand Sunday for the special service of Bishop William Morris Jr., who will be celebrating his 50th anniversary as pastor.

"He is coming home to preach and celebrate his pastor," Rawls said. "It's going to be a really great weekend for Tommie and our church."

Rawls said the Mount Sinai Baptist Church choir and musicians will be participating.

"This will be our first revival since before COVID," he said. "The theme is, "You Have Everything You Need for Victory.'"

"A revival is traditionally for those who know the Lord," he said.

"We've seen an uptick of people coming back to church. Our attendance is picking up again. We're really excited and this will be a great time," Rawls said. "A revival is a spiritual awakening and it's all about getting people back to God."

Rawls said people may come as they are.
