Mount St. Charles, Chariho, North Kingstown and East Providence prevail in boys volleyball

BASEBALL
Division I
Central 12, Lincoln 11
Dereck DeLa Cruz had 3 hits, scored 3 times and drove in 2 runs and Alejandro Almonte singled to drive in what would be the game winning run as Central improved to 2-2 with its victory over Lincoln.
Cumberland 10, Moses Brown 6
The Clippers pounded out 8 hits and were flawless in the field to beat the Quakers in their Division I showdown. The Clippers' Connor Allard went 2-5, with 3 RBIs and Josh Lyon was 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Alex Iannuccilli pitched 4 innings, struck out 4 and walked 4 to earn the win. He relieved Shayne Godin, who lasted 3 innings. For Moses Brown, Camden Lussier took the loss after tossing 1.1 innings. IvanTripp closed the game for the Quakers, tossing 4 innings and striking out 3. Moses Brown had 6 hits in the loss.
Division II
Barrington 6, Tiverton 5
Trevor Snow’s two-out single in the last of the seventh capped a rally and gave the Eagles the win over the Tigers. Matt Davis preceded Snow by singling home the tying run after the Tigers scored twice in the top of the seventh, one run coming on a Payton Travis single. Gabe Tanous contributed a single and a double for the Eagles while teammate Grant Culton added two singles plus a double.
BOYS LACROSSE
Division II
Prout 9, Cranston West 4
Mark Belcher had 2 goals and 4 assists, Liam McIntosh had 2 goals and 2 assists, Mason Keramidas had 2 assists and won 10 of 11 face-offs, and Declan Foley had a goal and an assist as the Crusaders were victorious over the Falcons. Charles Maguire had all 4 goals for the Falcons in the loss.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Division III
Johnston 11, Rogers 9
Ellie Margolis and Maeve Crowley each netted 2 goals and assisted on two others and, along with Camilla May, the three controlled 15 of 20 draws as the Panthers got by the Vikings. Johnston goalie Nadia Corey made 11 saves for Johnston to pick up the win. Angellina Ponte turned in a solid effort, recording 4 goals and 3 assists for Rogers.
VOLLEYBALL
Division I
Chariho 3, South Kingstown 0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-22).
Matt Tiernan's 23 kills and 4 aces paved the way for Chariho's victory over South Kingstown. Also contributing to the win was Brandon Knowles (11 kills) Kody Poplaski (38 assists) and Landon Marland who recorded 25 service points.
Mount St. Charles 3, Hendricken 0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-19). JV -H, 2-0.
Cadden Sullivan recorded 35 assists, Azariah Chauvin had 11 kills and 5 blocks and Carter Deslauriers added 10 kills as the Mounties improved to 2-1 with a win over the Hawks. Cooper Weir registered 12 digs for Hendricken in the loss.
North Kingstown 3, La Salle 1 (25-17, 24-26, 29-27, 25-21). JV - NK, 2-1.
The play of of the Clippers' Cody Tow (12 Kills 4 aces), Jared Samson (8 kills 3 blocks) and Ryan Harrington (11 kills) would proved to be too much for Rams. The terrific efforts of La Salle's Jack Johnson and (20 kills, 5 blocks) and Ali Abdur-Razzak (42 assists, 2 blocks) would not be enough to take down NK.
Division II
Westerly 3, Toll Gate 1 (25-15, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23)
Nonleague
East Providence 3, Shea/Tolman 2 (25-14, 25-12, 12-25, 24-26, 15-13).
Loden Broe recorded 25 assists and 4 aces and Trent De Costa had 12 digs and he also had 4 aces as Division II East Providence defeated Division III Tolman/Shea. Dominic Carpentieri led the Pawtucket Co-op with 27 assists and 5 aces in the loss.
