Mount Union ranked No. 6 in USTFCCCA national ranking

NEW ORLEANS -- Mount Union women's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 6 in the national rankings done by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Purple Raiders currently have nine top 15 marks and times on the season so far.

Mount Union is led by the duo of Fairless High School graduate Kennady Gibbins and Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic).

Gibbins is currently the nation leader in the pentathlon (3,592 points), fourth in the long jump (18-feet 7-inches), seventh in the high jump (5-feet 5.75-inches) and 11th in the 200-meters (26.10).

Wayt is ranked fourth in the 60-meters (7.80), fifth in the 200-meters (25.65) and 11th in the 400-meters (58.90).

Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) has jumped a distance of 18-feet 3.75 inches to sit seventh in the long jump.

Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) currently sits 13th overall in the 800-meters with a time of 2:19.40.

Johns Hopkins is currently the top team followed by Loras.
