Michael J. Dee

O'Toole Scrivo Fernandez Weiner Van Lieu in Cedar Grove brought on partner Michael J. Dee and of counsel R. Brant Forrest.

Dee represents private and public sector employers in state and federal court, arbitral tribunals and administrative agencies in Title VII, Equal Pay Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, and other matters. Dee from 2014-2016 was director of the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations, and twice served as chair of the Police and Fire Interest Arbitration Impact Task Force, created by legislation to study the impact of recent amendments to the interest arbitration law for police and fire employees. Dee earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut (2006) and his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross (2002), and clerked for Superior Court Judge John J. Forrest focuses on complex commercial litigation and business transactions in the construction industry, representing surety companies, developers, contractors, and material suppliers in contract disputes, surety bond claims, delay claims, bid protests, construction defects, bankruptcy matters, mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, and financing transactions. Forrest previously was an associate at an Am Law 200 firm and, before that, clerked for Presiding Chancery Judge Frank M. Ciuffani in Middlesex County Superior Court. He earned his B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2010, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2013.

Prior to joining the firm, Curcio served in the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and most recently in private practice. Edelstein has more than a decade of experience handling transactional real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions and financing.
