Movers & Shakers: Devon Lyon takes over as CEO at Central One Credit Union

Devon Lyon has been named president and chief executive officer at Central One FederalCredit Union in Shrewsbury, effective Aug. 22. He is succeeding David L’Ecuyer, who has led Central One as CEO since 1994.

Lyon is being promoted from his current position as chief operating officer. He has been with Direct Federal Credit Union since 2018.

He previously served in senior leadership roles at several financial services institutions, including as director of education at the National Association of Federally Insured Credit Unions.

Lyon holds a juris doctorate degree from Albany Law School of Union University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Binghamton University.

Chris Woolf, of Franklin, was recently named manager at Intermission, a theater-themed cafe in downtown Franklin.

He has been part of Intermission's staff since March.

Woolf is a retired broadcast journalist with the BBC World Service for 34 years and was news editor for public radio’s main international news show, “The World.”  He served in the UK’s Territorial Army as an infantry soldier during the Cold War, is a writer and chief operating officer of a professional voiceover company, The Voice Depot.
