Movie actor, SNL veteran Rob Schneider coming to Evansville in 2023

EVANSVILLE − Actor, producer and comedian Rob Schneider will bring his "I Have Issues Tour" to Old National Events Plaza on March 25, the venue announced Monday.

The San Francisco native, 59, was a Saturday Night Live cast member from 1990-94. It was a memorable era in the NBC show's history, with Schneider gaining fame alongside a stable of other young comics like Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Chris Farley.

He's done a lengthy list of movie and television work since then, with lead roles in films such as 1999's Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and its sequels. Other starring roles included The Hot Chick (2002), The Benchwarmers (2006) and Big Stan (2007).

His vast television work includes a short-lived 2012 series on CBS called Rob, which was loosely based on Schneider's real life, and Real Rob, which ran for two seasons on Netflix from 2015-17.

More recently he's been on FOX's The Masked Singer, and he starred and directed in the film Daddy Daughter Trip, released in September. That movie also starred Schneider's wife, Patricia, and daughter, Miranda.

Schneider also is the father of singer Elle King, whose hits include 2014 Ex's & Oh's.

Schneider in recent years has made headlines for statements opposing vaccine requirements -- stances that preceded the arrival of COVID-19 and cost Schneider a State Farm Insurance advertising role in 2014.

He's also been critical of SNL in recent times.

Old National Events Plaza said tickets for Schneider's March 25 show in Evansville will go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 16. According to his official website, Schneider is slated to perform Dec. 22-23 in Indianapolis at Helium Comedy Club.
