  • Jamie Lee Curtis recently sent Lindsay Lohan a baby gift after the star welcomed son Luai into the world.

  • The gift included an array of children's books, including some Curtis had co-authored.

  • Curtis and Lohan famously starred together in 2003's Freaky Friday.

So often during press tours for new movies, you'll hear actors say, "We were all one big family" regarding their co-stars. But most of the time, that alleged familial bond seems to fade as soon as awards season comes to a close.

But when it comes to Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, who starred as mother and daughter (and daughter and mother) in the acclaimed 2003 hit Freaky Friday, they clearly kept the bond alive. Yes, it's been 20 years since we first saw Curtis in her Golden Globe-nominated role of Tess Coleman, but now she's embracing a brand new role: movie grandmother.

That's how she branded herself in an Instagram post congratulating Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, on the birth of their son Luai a few weeks back. But Curtis didn't just stop at a social media post, as we later learned from Lohan's Instagram story:

As the Access Hollywood upload of Lohan's story shows, Curtis sent over an array of children's books for the new baby, some of which JLC authored herself. No stranger to sentimental gift-giving, Curtis clearly feels a special kinship with Lohan and her new journey into parenthood. Lohan even sought advice from her former co-star, telling Allure that Curtis said, "You just bring the baby with you, and everything will be fine."

Of course, Curtis recently welcomed her own "little guy" into her home—a little dude named "Oscar," a nice prize for Curtis's Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

But while she's popped up on screens big and small this year with things like Haunted Mansion and The Bear, many are wondering what major project she'll use her new Oscar-winning clout to will into existence.

And since we can now see the chemistry between Curtis and Lohan hasn't faded after 20 years, could we hope that maybe a Freaky Friday 2 is on the horizon?
